STAND CONFRONTS RACIAL POLITICS
Chesapeake, VA. July 27: Former U.S. Senate Candidate and President of the non-profit group S.T.A.N.D Bishop E.W. Jackson blasts State Senator Louise Lucas the following statement: “…Mitt Romney is speaking to a group of people out there who don’t like folks like President Barack Obama in any elective or leadership position…[S]ome people may be afraid to say it, but I’m not. … He’s speaking to that fringe out there who do not want to see anybody but a white person in a leadership position.”
In May of this year, Democrats in Congress invited Maya Wiley of the Center for Social Inclusion to teach a seminar with the explicit purpose of showing Democrat candidates and spokespersons how to turn practically any statement by a Conservative politician into a racial issue. During his campaign for the Senate, E.W. Jackson exposed this seminar and strategy and demanded that Tim Kaine and President Obama renounce what Jackson calls “despicable and unethical political behavior.” After losing the Senate race to George Allen, Jackson, has resumed his position as President of STAND, and has renewed his call that the President, Tim Kaine and the Democrat Party apologize for stirring up racial division and renounce their “racial strategy.”
Says Bishop Jackson, “I have repeatedly predicted that Mr. Obama and his White House mafia would try to create intense racial fear in the black community because he desperately needs high black voter turn out to win. It is happening and we will see more of it.”
Jackson alleges that Senator Louise Lucas is a race obsessed black politician from Norfolk, who now has the President’s approval to throw race bombs as part of Mr. Obama’s Orwellian “Truth Team.” Jackson has dubbed Obama’s Truth Squad a “ministry of propaganda.” “The name would be laughable,” says Bishop Jackson, “if it were not so frighteningly authoritarian in its implications.”
As a former Republican Senate candidate, Mr. Jackson spoke to tens of thousands of the Virginians that disagree passionately with this President. “They are profoundly concerned and saddened by this President’s determination to fundamentally transform our country into a welfare or socialist state,” he says. “They are frustrated and angered by the excessive spending, the unconstitutional end runs around Congress, the appointment of out of control czars and the anti-business rhetoric. As an American of African descent, I share the concerns of my fellow Americans about the destructive policies of the Obama administration. To paraphrase Martin Luther King, it is the content of his policies, not the color of his skin that matters.”
Jackson says his organization is speaking out because founded claims of racism are wrong and only serve to keep “victim groups” viewing themselves as victims rather than American with all the rights and potential out country has to offer. Black poverty is at a 50 year high, and false claims that Romney is somehow appealing on the basis of race does nothing to address the plight of those people who are not yet experiencing the American dream.
It is time for all Americans to reject self-serving demagogues, like Senator Lucas, Eric Holder and yes, President Barak Obama, and rededicate ourselves to the vision of “one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
S.T.A.N.D will continue to serve as a watchdog against racial propaganda and demagoguery. We call on Tim Kaine, President Obama and the Democrat Party to renounce the politics of racial division and exploitation. Senator Louise Lucas should withdraw her remarks and apologize immediately.
